For the Christmas fig and pear jam, put the dried figs in water for a few hours, then put them through the mincer.

Wash the pears, cut out the core and mince them as well. Mix with the jelling sugar and lemon juice and let rest for 1/2 hour.

Heat according to instructions and simmer for a few minutes. If the mixture is too thick, add a little water. Do a jelly test, if all is well, pour the fig and pear jam into hot washed jars and seal immediately.

Leave to cool with the lid down on a kitchen towel.
