Peel the apples, cut them into quarters, remove the cores and cut the apple quarters into slices about 1.5 cm thick. Wash the apricots with hot water, dry them and cut them into small sticks. Coarsely chop the walnuts.

In a frying pan, lightly melt the sugar over medium heat, but do not let it brown. Add the butter, apricot sticks and nuts. Stir in the apple slices and sauté over medium heat, stirring gently, until the apples are cooked but still have a tiny bit of bite.

Sprinkle with ground cinnamon to taste. Smell and taste reminiscent of Christmas baked apples.
