Cook the long grain rice as usual, boil the liquid well. Cut the onion into cubes, sauté in the butter until translucent and lightly fry together with the long grain rice. Clean and rinse the vegetables and pre-cook them in boiling hot salted water for about 5 minutes. Layer everything in a greased baking dish. Mix flour, whipped cream, eggs, spices and cheese and pour over the vegetables. Spread the long-grain rice crust evenly on top and bake everything together in a heated oven at 200 °C for about 30 minutes.

Tip: Cook only with high-quality spices – they are the be-all and end-all in a good dish!
